this is a British skit / comedy podcast that has been running for about 3 years now. Just passed the 115 episode mark, it is a half hour burst of inanity, with the two hosts Answering all manner of questions from their listeners. Some write in, others leave a voicemail, but either way, it makes for an oddball Joking Answer that runs down sidestreets and brings in all sorts of tangents.
some questions are:
1) simple, upfront, personal
and others,
2) wholely philosophical and whimsical
it makes for a bit of a gigglefest, and with the producer chiming in with his ‘God-voice’ at times, Helen and Olly keep the show flowing like oil. The Brits are known for their puffy, light word-and-idea play, and this is a homegrown example.
found myself in some serious LOL moments here. Careful listening to this podcast in public!

long for the good old days of the 30’s and 40’s? well, maybe not, but they did produce some good radio back then. These old time radio shows have been revived by Legacy of Laughs, a podcast which brings you a weekly half-hour slice of classic comedy. I must admit, I was a bit skeptical going in (is this stuff dated, or tired, or just plain unfunny), but I came away seriously laughing out loud. The most I have in a while. Genuine comedy plays on inherent, deep-seated human character flaws, and alas, these do not change with time. In fact, I do wonder at times if this ‘older’, more classical culture understood the human plight better than the pundits we have today. We seem to have so much knowledge, but so little learning and true wisdom.
but enough with the rant on current times, these radio shows are well produced and well written. The acting in them is commendable. When they were produced I am sure they thought it was going to be disposable, a one time play only. Well, so many years later, and with our infinitely replicating digital machines, that is not the case.

In a one click podcast subscribe, we take a time capsule from the past, and consume it in the present. Do yourself a favor, sub and laugh. Smiles all round.

the web has been known for one thing since the very early days – porn. Any new medium to broadcast porn, and it becomes adapted immediately. Witness video and dvd’s. So yes, adult entertainment is big biz on the web.
The TwatCast is now a defunct podcast that ran for 8 weeks earlier in the year. It notched up a total of 35 episodes, with 2 guys talking daily about developments in the porn industry. It is hilarious. Episodes are an easy twenty minutes in length, and roll along. The hosts banter and jibe, and poke all the fun that sex demands. Great use of radio sound effects too.

afraid of being cut out of the loop? not connected with the zeitgeist of the day? Like it or not, viral videos have become a cultural touchstone, being referenced in the media and even in some episodes of South Park. These vids often accumulate millions of views in a couple of days. They work their way around – seeding our consciousness.
Best of Youtube is a twice weekly video podcast that gives you the latest in viral, in full. Apart from a too-long opening static screen, that’s all you get – just the clip as is. No fuss, viral delivered.
the best in funny, weird, and outright strange.
